Full Review: What started with my need to have a bathroom vent installed ended up being an experience that, at the risk of sounding too dramatic, renewed my belief that amazing customer service isn’t a thing of the past after all. My phone rang about 30 minutes before the appointment. Jason introduced himself and confirmed the details of the service, including my address, an ETA for their arrival, etc. Pretty standard. Then, he did something that set the tone for the rest of our time with Salt. He said, “Can I bring you some water or coffee or tea? Maybe something to snack on also?” I was silently shocked. Honestly, the fact that they even remembered to call ahead before the appointment was already better than 90% of service calls I’ve had from other companies in the past. Now, this guy is offering to bring me something to snack on. Okay, things are already looking really, really promising, and I haven’t even met this electrician yet. At least not in person, but I should mention another detail. Earlier that day, I was sent an email with a “Meet Your Tech” bio, giving me some idea of who I’d be letting into my home for the appointment later that day. By the time Jason arrived with his colleague Lavelle, we were already off to a good start, with me feeling pretty secure that this company really does put a priority on customer service. And that only became more obvious as the appointment went on. Before getting started on the vent installation, they performed a full inspection of key points in our home’s electrical system. They found several issues—nothing major, but a mix of minor and slightly less minor problems that were definitely worth addressing. Instead of just handing us a single take-it-or-leave-it estimate, they put together multiple revised estimates so we could choose the one that best fit our budget. Or, of course, we could have just stuck with the original plan—no pressure, no upselling, just options. Since we decided to take care of everything at once, they scheduled all the work for the next day when our schedule allowed. And here’s where Salt really sets themselves apart: they provided videos of the problem areas they found, explaining exactly what needed to be fixed. Then, after the work was completed, they sent another set of videos showing everything properly repaired. That level of transparency? Unheard of. At this point, I’m not just impressed—I’m blown away. The communication, the professionalism, the quality of work, and the way they made everything so easy and stress-free. Exactly what a service experience should be. Jason and Lavelle were outstanding from start to finish, and they’ll be my first call for any electrical work from now on.
